Herbs.. Herbs.. mushrooms...

The herbalist in Azuremyst always has bags and bags of herbs. He keeps telling me he finds them in the forest. When I first started looking for herbs all I was able to pick were some white flowers called Peaceblooms.

Well while on Bloodmyst Isle, I met Jessera of Mac' Aree. I was told that there are mushrooms that could be dangerous. Jessera is a mushroom collector. The mushrooms are very odd. The Blood Mushroom glows so bright that I saw it from a distance. I had to dive in to the river to harvest the Aquatic Stinkhorn. And was attacked by a monster that swam by. Once I left the water it didn't not chase me. It seems it just didn't want me in the river.

The other two mushrooms were, Runious Polyspore and Fel Cone Fungus. Those I found while walking around. I was very careful in handling all of these strange mushrooms. And since it took me several days to collect all of the mushrooms I made sure to take care of my bag that contained the mushrooms.

I returned to Jessera with the mushrooms, I was given some cuffs and payment. I don't know about collecting any mushrooms for a while. I think I inhaled too many spores.

I still have yet to find the nice leafy greens that the herbalist always has.

Defeat... Lord Xiz and I...

Lord Xiz

I experienced my first defeat. I was sent to slay Lord Xiz, making my way to the ruins from Bloodwatch was of no trouble. I walked up to the treasure chest that was there and opened it. I became stuck and unable to move. I thought I had enough time to open the chest and place the items in my bag before Lord Xiz came back to the chest. Had I misjudged the time I needed? As I stood there unable to move Lord Xiz came up to me and started hitting me over and over... I guess frozen with fear? Maybe not...(There had been a maintenance and I was getting a lot of lag.) What a fierce battle. After returning to my fallen body, I had a short but terrifying worry of freezing up again.

My spell casting skills are slow but I was able to kill Lord Xiz. And I planted a banner in him as I was told to do. The banner made an interesting flash and noise as it impaled the fallen Lord. The the power of the Draenei was declared. Although heavy handed violence is not the way of the Draenei, sometimes it is the only way. Hopefully the Naga see the banner and realized that they should take what is not theirs.

Hanahime day 29

Today Hanahime turned into an adult. He has a long beak, so he looks a little different than his father Momo. We took a long walk today and met Brutus, he was walking with Brilliant. Hime and Brilliant quickly became friends.

I traveled to Sand'Oria to speak to Hantileon about a chocobo whistle. He told me to check my bond with Hime. And that sometimes chocobos hide things and if I check when he was not looking I might be able to find a dirty handkerchief. I quickly made my way back to Bastok using my trickstaff II. Hime and I took a short walk near a waterfall. He turned to look at the water and I noticed something on the ground, it was the dirty handkerchief. Upon returning from our walk I rented a chocobo and went back to Sand'Oria. Hantileon gave me a chocobo whistle. I returned to Bastok, Zapago let me register Hime and prepared a saddle for Hime.

Hime and I went for a little ride to the lighthouse that is right outside of Bastok Mines. We enjoyed the ocean view in the moonlight, as we watched the moon rise in the sky. Hime and I have many more adventures and places to look forward to. But I am sure we will always remember this moonlit first ride.


Chic so cute.
Chic looks like a smaller cuter version of Momo. I hope to get a picture of Chic and Hime together soon. They have played many times together at Kamp Kweh. But they grew up in different cities. Chic lives at the Sand'Oria stables. The training in Sand'Oria is helping her become a very strong chocobo. I'm sure Hime's little older sister(Chic) can out run him.

Flashing...

Lure of the wildcat

Alib-Mufalib told me about his mercenary company that he belonged to, the Salaheem's Sentinels. I kneeled down to take the blue sentinel badge that he handed me. He wanted me to help him recruit members. He asked me to flash people. I was a little hesitant about this but I agreed to help him.

I guess I didn't understand Alib-Mufalib, because I flashed Kaela and she was a bit confused. She noticed my blue badge and spoke to me about it. Hmmmm... ahhhhh... Alib-Mufalib maybe wanted me to flash the blue badge around. This all went much better once I realized this. I'm glad I realized that it was the badge that I was flashing before I got to Manilam. I don't know if I would have wanted to flash him. He looked a little too interested in the badge or maybe he was staring at me. I started carrying the badge in my hand instead of wearing it.

So after I visited all twenty people on Alib-Mufalib's list and made my way back to Port Bastok. I received a blue invitation card. Alib-Mufalib also told me he would teleport me to Aht for a fee of 300gil.

So here is the adventure's certificate that the Moogle gAve to me. i stuCK it on my moghouSe wall. i'M not sure of whAt it says sinCe the print was an unreadable piece of worK. maybe i Still have dust in My eyes from All the bunnies' dust Clouds. or maybe the whirling KickS gave Me A Concussion. who KnowS what it Might be, All i know is my vision seems a bit unClear when i looK at things.

This and that...

Spanking new staff

So I decide to check with my moogle and see what he had for me. And what do I find? Alcindor has sent me a wonderful signet staff. Oh what fun I been having with the staff and I have yet to leave my moghouse. I'm sure my moogle will chase me out of my home soon. I just could not resist poking Moo(gle) with my spanking new staff. I sneaked up behind Moo... Bop! The little pom pom on his head went springing about. I wonder when he will get tired of me and my staff.

I think I will cook Moo a bunny steak and he will hopefully forget that spanking new signet staff that I have. Or maybe make him a nice bunny mantle. He keeps my moghouse so neat and clean. Moo is such a great moogle! He is always here when I need him. Bringing in my mail, watching over the plants, etc.

Beast in Stillpine

There was a cave near by Stillpine that I explored. I came across a two headed beast. Someone requested that I bring them the hide of the Kurken. I had to get by some other beast on the way to the Kurken.
These Wildkin are quite frightening. They are fierce and show no mercy. Get too close to them and they are very aggressive. The Furbolg requested that I go in and see why these Wildkin invaded the cave that the Furbolg once lived in. There was a large red crystal far into the cave that is causing the Wildkin to be so aggressive. Hopefully the Furbolg can figure out why their friends(Wildkins) are being affected by the crystal.

A journey to Selbina

Selbina is a nice quiet town. The ship that goes to Mhaura was in the dock and the lamps at the waterfront were lit.

Only the Best

A while back when I first visited Selbina I met Melyon, he takes care of sheep. He mentioned that he needed food for his sheep. The regional vendor in Bastok Port had some La Theine Cabbages in stock so I bought a few stacks and got an outpost warp to Valkurm Dunes. The walk to Selbina is not very far from the outpost and is a lot faster than riding a chocobo to Selbina from Bastok.

MOO!! Sheep!

I was a bit shocked at the amount of cabbages Mee and Baa ate. I wonder if Mee eats Baa's food. Mee is so much larger than Baa.


More BUNNIES!

I decided to test out my polearm in Dunes. And what did I find outside of Selbina? BUNNIES!!
I had a bit of fun with some Sand Hares. They hop so much and move so fast. Stab... poke... swipe... I had to be quick with my spear.

Bunnies went flying left and right. The bunnies tried all their normal moves to try and attack me. Kicking up sand in my eyes to blind me and running in a large circle to give their attacks more force. But I was able to get a few more hare meat. I'll give the meat to my moogle to store away for another day. I think it is time to go hunt some sheep meat and maybe some sheepskins. Some sheep meat sounds pretty good. Maybe I'll do some fishing sometime, that way I can make some sushi. I like sushi. There is nothing better than fresh fish.

I took the outpost back to Bastok. I've been staying close to town so that I can care for Hime. He is doing very well. I am looking forward to teaching him Canter. Hime has a sister named Petite Chic. Their parents are Gale Wind and Momo Momo. Hime is progressing slower than Chic. Chic is only three or four days older than Hime, and already knows Canter and Gallop.
